About
My name is James Gleason. I live and work in Brooklyn, New York. I have worked in the field of design for more than 15 years. My employers and clients have included Fortune-500 corporations, academic institutions, design studios, non-profit organizations, and independent artists.
I started out as a pre-press technician and went on to work in print design as a production artist, designer, and art director. I gained experience working on packaging, collateral, corporate identity, and editorial projects. Eventually I transitioned into interactive design, where I have worked for the last 10 years, primarily working on large and complex institutional websites.
My skills and knowledge have expanded beyond the boundaries of my original visual design focus, and I am now also well-versed in the disciplines of interaction design and information architecture. I continue to learn, teach and collaborate every day.
