About
My name is James Gleason. I live and work in Brooklyn, New York. I have worked in the field of design for more than 14 years. My employers and clients have included Fortune-500 corporations, academic institutions, design studios, non-profit organizations, and independent artists.
I started out as a pre-press technician and went on to work in print design as a production artist, designer, and art director. I gained experience working on packaging, collateral, corporate identity, and editorial projects. Eventually I transitioned into interactive design, where I have worked for the last 9 years, primarily working on large and complex institutional websites.
My skills and knowledge have expanded beyond the boundaries of my original visual design focus, and I am now also well-versed in the disciplines of interaction design and information architecture. I continue to learn, teach and collaborate every day.
